To Michael in 2028


Dear Michael:

     2028 seems so far away! At that time, I will be almost 30 years old. Will the world be more technological, convenient and peaceful? Will the gap between the rich and the poor smaller?  It's hard to imagine. This is me in 2018. Studying second grade in YZU, I finished an orientation event for freshmen last week. Attending activities is exciting for me, and I am going to start learning dancing. There are plenty of goals that I want to do. I also want to travel around Taiwan with my family. For myself, I have no idea whether I should refuse to attend the student association of my department or not. I also have no idea to have an exchange or not. I hope that I will have an answer earlier.

      Maybe in 2028, I might have a job. My dream is to run a restaurant with my family. I need to have enough money and skills to run it. The most important thing is to have a great food and style for my restaurant. I really want to do this very well, so that I will so proud of myself. I can also invite my friends to my restaurant. I also wish that I can get married and have children.

       In this 10 years, I must change a lot. I will graduate and have more abilities. I need to keep taking care of my family and have more happiness for them. Live a life that I will remember! Run, Michael!

    ‘Attending activities is exciting for you’, I consider you are good at social with people and that is what I need to learn. You did great I think. Run a restaurant with your family is kind of a wonderful dream, you can do the job and get together with the family, it’s my goal as well.

My Favorite English Book

Hunger games       My favorite English book is "Hunger Games". I had read the whole series. The reason that I like these books because the plots are very exciting. I considered that the author was writing about the situations in this society. There are twelve districts in their country. The Capital holds Hunger Games every year. Every child might be sent to attend and there must be one winner. They have to kill each other in order to live. Some districts are poorer than other, so they have fewer sources to easily win the game. This is similar to the current situations. Some countries are very rich while others are not. The former keeps bullying and exploiting the latter. In the story, the Capital controls every city to prevent them overthrow the Capital. At last, it is no use. My writing experience

     I am poor at writing skills because I don't get any training on it and the environment. People in Taiwan usually listen and read more often while we seldom practice writing.      My first time of writing can trace back to elementary school when I studied in cram school. I was preparing for GEPT, but actually, I don't know what I was writing. I just write anything that comes up with my mind, so my scores of writing are the lowest of four parts.      After that, I learn how to write formal articles in senior high school, and this is for the college entrance exam. English teacher started to teach us some tips. We started to know how to organize the information in the right paragraph. At that time, I memorized many typical types and idioms.
